Liverpool loanee Loris Karius revealed to the Hurriyet newspaper today that he rejected a total of five offers this summer to stay at Besiktas.

Karius turned down two offers from England and three from Germany to remain at Besiktas for another season.

The 26-year-old joined the Black Eagles on a two-year loan move last summer but could have terminated his contract this summer to leave and join another club.

Karius reportedly listed the offers he rejected, he said: “This season, through my agent, two clubs in the UK, three clubs from Germany, made offers.

“I turned them down. Besiktas is very special for me.”

Karius was first-choice keeper for Besiktas last term making a total of 35 appearances conceding 49 goals and keeping six clean sheets.

The German keeper joined Liverpool on a £4.7m move from Mainz 05 in 2016 but was allowed to leave last summer after his season ended with an unfortunate Champions League final display against Real Madrid.

The Black-Whites finished the Super Lig in third-place last season booking a place in the Europa League group stage for the upcoming campaign.
