Rodgers could play a back-three made up of Kolo Toure, Martin Skrtel and Lovren.

Emre Can who has started in defence for the last 12 games could be moved into a central midfield role.

Can actually joined Liverpool on a £9.75 million move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer as a central midfielder.

Beşiktaş also have a number of key missing players out. Centre-back Ersan Gülüm and left-back Ramon Motta are both suspended.
