Lucas could be ruled out for at least a month according to the Guardian.

The Brazilian will undergo scans to reveal the extent of his injury.

Lucas started the Merseyside derby against Everton on the weekend but was replaced by Joe Allen on 16 minutes due to injury.

The 27-year-old recently missed the FA Cup replay win at Bolton Wanderers last Wednesday with a similar injury but was still risked against Everton despite not being 100 percent fit.

Liverpool qualified for the Round of 32 after finishing their Champions League group in third place.

Beşiktaş travel to England to face Liverpool at Anfield on 19 February.
