Germany defeated Poland 3-1 at home to move into first place in Euro 2016 qualification Group D. Joachim Low fielded Can at right back despite the 21-year-old playing in midfield for his club. Can spent last season at Liverpool playing at centre-back and at right-back.

The 21-year-old received a rating of 7.48 from whoscored for his debut performance. Can made two successful tackles, one interception and three clearances. The Liverpool man maintained a passing accuracy of 88% and made one key pass.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up for Germany’s clash with Scotland on Tuesday.
