Liverpool players had to ask their German team mate Emre Can to the whereabouts of Augsburg ahead of their Europa League clash this week.
The Reds take on FC Augsburg on Thursday and host the Bundesliga side at Anfield next week.
“To be honest, a number of teammates have asked me where Augsburg is located,” Can told Bild.
Augsburg are based at the WWK Arena in the Bavaria region which is in the south of Germany.
The Bundesliga club was founded over 100 years ago but did not play in the Bundesliga until 2011. This is Augsburg’s first season in European competition.
The young midfielder is expected to be included in Klopp’s starting line up in the Reds Europa League Round of 32 clash this week.
Both Emre Can and Jurgen Klopp will be no strangers to Augsburg after their time spent in the German league.
