Liverpool receive transfer boost in pursuit of £18m wonder-kid Emre Mor

Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of the Turkey international winger Emre Mor.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have pulled of the race to sign Mor from Borussia Dortmund.

Fenerbahce director Mahmut Uslu told the Turkish outlet Aksam that the Yellow Canaries have given up hopes of signing Mor and believes Dortmund have no intention of letting the young star go.

Meanwhile, Fanatik claim that Liverpool are lining up Mor as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho. The Brazil international is being closely pursued by the La Liga giants Barcelona in recent weeks.

Per the source, Dortmund have set a £18 million price tag on the rising star.

Dortmund signed Mor for £8.3 million last summer however, the Turkey international failed to cement a place in the Bundesliga sides first team. The 19-year-old made just 12 league appearances for Dortmund last season.

Mor’s agent Muzzi Ozcan recently revealed to Turkish-Football.com that there have already been 14 offers for his client this summer.

“Fourteen offers have been made for Emre Mor but Borussia Dortmund have yet to respond to any of the bids.

“It is not clear yet what will happen, he could even leave on loan or stay at Dortmund.”

Mor represented Turkey at the 2016 European Championships in France last year.
