Jurgen Klopp is reported to be keen on Talisca who is currently on loan at reigning Turkish league champions Besiktas.

Turkish-Football.com reported on 25 February 2017 that Liverpool have been scouting Talisca all season and that the Reds will be sending scouts to keep tabs on the Brazilian midfielder against Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby.

Besiktas have a €25 million buyout clause option to sign Talisca but could struggle to activate his release fee due to financial constraints.

The Istanbul giants must stay within budget to avoid getting into Financial Fair Play trouble.

Besiktas have only recently started to get into a healthy financial position after spending the past few seasons cost cutting and reducing debt.

Talisca has been one of the Black Eagles most in-form players this season netting eight times and providing three assists in all competitions.

The attacking midfielder plays in a No. 10 role for Besiktas and is almost certain to start in the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray on Monday 27 February at the Turk Telekom Arena.

Ricardo Quaresma, Babel, Talisca and likely to lead the Besiktas attack with star striker Cenk Tosun starting up-front.

Talisca is surprisingly gifted on the ball for a player 1.91m tall and uses his power to wear down opposition defences with his aerial threat and physical strength.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key component of the Besiktas attack which is the most potent in the league with more goals than any over Super Lig side (43).

Talisca first made a name for himself at Benfica scoring 20 times and providing four assists in 78 appearances.

It was during his time at Benfica that Talisca first came to the attention of Liverpool according to O Jogo.

The Portuguese newspaper reported that Liverpool narrowly missed out on signing Talisca for €25 million but that the deal fell through due to a problem over getting permitted a work visa to play in England.

Talisca joined Besiktas on a two-year loan and has stated on numerous occasions that he does not want to return to Benfica.
