Liverpool scouting target joins Wolfsburg

Turkish international star Yunus Malli has joined Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg according to DW.

Per the source, Wolfsburg have signed Malli until 2021 following his medical at the team training camp in La Manga, Spain on Thursday.

Malli will wear the No 10 jersey which was vacated by Julian Draxler who joined PSG on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old midfielder was closely linked with a move to Premier League over the summer and Liverpool had been scouting him this season.

Malli had one-year remaining on his contract with Mainz before signing for Wolfsburg.

The Turkish international midfielder was in impressive form for the Bundesliga outfit scoring times and providing eight assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.

Tottenham were also closely linked with the Germany born Turkish international over the summer missed out on activating his £7.5 million release clause.

Malli is reported to have joined Wolfsburg for £10.67 million according to Kicker.
