Liverpool have sent scouts to monitor their on-loan forward Lazar Markovic’s performances at Fenerbahce.

The Turkish newspaper AMK state that the Merseyside club have scouts present at every one of the 21-year-old’s games. The report goes onto say that Liverpool are also in close contact with Markovic and monitor his training regime.

The Red’s have been impressed with Markovic’s progress leading to manager Jurgen Klopp wanting the Serbia international back next season.

Markovic joined Liverpool on a £17.5 million transfer fee from Benfica under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers but failed to settle in and was played out of position for most of his time spent at the club.

The young winger scored three times and made one assist in 34 appearances for the Reds last season in all competitions.

Markovic has however, managed to establish himself as a first team regular at Fenerbahçe who he joined on a loan move over the summer transfer window.
