Can got to start in his preferred midfield role in his first game under the stewardship of Klopp. The Germany international featured as a holding midfielder in the new Liverpool managers’s 4-2-3-1 system.

The 21-year-old received a rating of 7.2 from WhoScored making him the sixth highest rated player. Can achieved a 73% percent pass accuracy during the game. The Reds managed to keep their first clean in nine games in what was a scrappy encounter.

Klopp was appointed as Brendan Rodgers replacement during the two-week international break and took take charge of his first league game against Spurs.

We take a look at the Liverpool fans reaction on social media to the Can’s performance against Watford and were in for some intriguing responses.
