Liverpool beat Newcastle United 2-0 at Anfield to close the gap with 4th placed Manchester City to four points.
Emre Can started the game after serving his one match suspension following the red card he was shown against Manchester United.
Can started in a back-four for the first time alongside Dejan Lovren but the rookie defensive duo managed to help the Reds keep their first clean sheet in two games.
The 21-year-old celebrated his day off with his Turkish crew, including fellow Liverpool teammate Samed Yeşil.
Can posted a picture with his pals alongside the caption: “Enjoying the day off with my bros @smdysl @cnyt12 #ynwa #liverpool.”
Can and Yeşil donned their leather coats and posed for the cameras.
The Reds teammates frequently post up pictures of each other on social media and both were also at Bayer Leverkusen before joining Liverpool.
The Liverpool duo were also both born in Germany into a Turkish family.
Both players are part of the Turkish community in Germany estimated to be in the region of 3-4 million.
Can and Yeşil have the option to represent both Turkey and Germany at senior international level.
