Emre Can, Liverpool

Emre Can played the full 90 minutes during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham despite suffering from a ‘stomach problem’.

The Germany international received a rating of 6.25 from WhoScored for his performance which is understandable given the conditions he was playing under.

Klopp revealed Can had a stomach problem during the draw with Spurs, but the German was delighted with the fighting spirit his players showed.

“Emre Can at half-time (had a problem with his) stomach,” Klopp stated in the post-match press conference.

“I saw that he had some problems.

“It’s always like this. It’s not easy to create an atmosphere in the team. Now I see we really fight all the time for the three points until the last minute of the game.”

Can will miss the next two Premier League games against Stoke City and Bournemouth following a suspension he picked up agaisnt Spurs.

The 22-year-old has yet to be shown a red card this season but has been punished due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

Liverpool remain in ninth place with 45 points in 30 games following todays draw. Tottenham dropped two more points behind league leaders Leicester City.
