Liverpool star Emre Can poised for Germany call-up

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is set of an international call-up according to the German newspaper Bild.

The tabloid newspaper states that Can will be called out for Germany’s clashes with Poland and Scotland in September.

The 21-year-old features in Germany u21’s European Championship campaign in the Czech Republic. Can scored a goal in his sides opening game and provided an assist in the second group game.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man still has the option to play for the Turkish national team.

Can played the full 90 minutes in Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal and received received a rating of 6.64 from Whoscored.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man played alongside Lucas Leiva and James Milner in a three-man midfield. Can made two key passes, two tackles and two interceptions.

The Reds have the chance to move into first place in the Premier League when they take on West Ham United this weekend.
