Liverpool star Emre Can has taken to Instagram to tell his fans that he is ready for this weekend’s encounter with Stoke City.
The Red’s take on the Potters in their opening game of the 2015-16 season on Sunday 9 August.
Liverpool were defeated by a 6-1 scoreline in the same fixture on the last day of the 2014-15 season.
Can posted a picture of himself on the social media platform along with the caption, “Ready for the season.”
Liverpool last won the league in 1990 and are yet to win the title in the Premier League era. The Red’s came close in 2009 under Rafael Benitez when they finished second, four points behind Manchester United.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man is coming off the back of an impressive display playing in midfield for the Germany U-21 side in the 2015 U-21 European Championships.
Can made a total of 27 appearances for Liverpool last season and also featured in the FA Cup and Europa League.
