Liverpool star Emre Can returns to Germany after explosions at Stade de France in Paris

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has returned to Germany with the national team following the the terror attacks in Paris.

The 21-year-old remained in the Stade de France along with his international team mates after the attacks.

France ended up winning the game 2-0 but the match was overshadowed by the attacks that took place in the capital.

Can shared an Instagram picture with the Eiffel Tower within a peace sign alongside the caption: “prayforparis.”

At least 120 people were killed after multiple terror attacks in the French capital, a further 180 injured and 99 in hospital in critical condition.

The 21-year-old was one of two ethnic Turks called up to the Germany national team alongside Borussia Dortmund İlkay Gündoğan.

Can has been called up for the national team for the last three consecutive call ups since his debut against Poland earlier in the year.

The Germany international could have represented Turkey at senior international like his Germany U21 teammate Yunus Malli who recently switched allegiances.
