Star Midfielder Wants To Win Silverware With Liverpool Amid Reports Of Deal With Euro Giants

Emre Can insists he is focused on winning silverware with Liverpool this season amid reports that he could be headed for an Anfield exit.

Can will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he strikes a new contract deal.

“First of all there are still many games with Liverpool to concentrate on, but I hope to be able to stay healthy and go to the World Cup in the summer,” Can was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

“We have been in a good way and we want to try to continue winning as many games as possible and hopefully that can mean having a good run in the FA Cup as well as the Premier League and the Champions League.

“We want to win a trophy. We are full of belief that winning a title is something this squad is capable of achieving and we will give our best.”

Can has yet to win silverware with the Reds since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014.

Liverpool rivals Manchester United are reported to be interested in signing the 23-year-old however they are set to face serious competition from Juventus.

Can rejected offers from Manchester City and Bayern Munich before agreeing terms with Juventus, according to Tuttosport.

Per the source, the midfielder of Turkish origin is set to move to Italy at the end of the season.

Despite reports that Can will leave Liverpool, head coach Jurgen Klopp continues to show faith in the midfielder.

Klopp is expected to include Can in the squad to face Manchester City over the weekend and he is expected to start.
