Liverpool star Emre Can fuels exit rumours after admitting Euro giants offer was “an honour”

Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has added fuel to speculation linking him with a move away from the Merseyside based club.

The 23-year-old has under nine months remaining on his contract with the Reds.

Serie A giants Juventus were closely linked with Can over the Summer however, Liverpool resisted all bids for their star man. Juve have maintained their interest in the Germany international.

Can recently admitted that he felt honoured to have received an offer from Juventus over the summer. The 23-year-old did however state that he is focused on playing for Liverpool this season and lets his agent ‘take care of the rest.’

“It’s always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool,” Can was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

“My agent takes care of the rest.”

Can was included in Joachim Low’s Germany national team squad for their World Cup qualification clashes. However, Jurgen Klopp dropped Can from the starting lineup for their previous Premier League encounter with Newcastle.

The Reds take on their biter rivals Manchester United this weekend.
