Liverpool’s star midfielder Emre Can has thanked fans for their support following his ankle injury.
The Red’s suffered another injury blow over the weekend after finding out Emre will miss the next four to five weeks after rupturing ankle ligaments.
The 22-year-old took to social media to upload an image of himself celebrating with Liverpool fans along with the caption, “I will be back soon. Thank you for all the messages.”
Can suffered the injury during Liverpool’s memorable 4-3 win over Dortmund in the Europa League.
Jurgen Klopp will now be unable to call upon two key midfielders following the latest injury to captain Jordan Henderson who is out with damaged knee ligaments.
Liverpool will take on Villarreal next in the Europa League semi-finals but if they do progress to the final Can may just recover in time as it will be played on 18 May.
