Liverpool striker set to join new regime at Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor are interested in signing Samed Yesil as they look to build a new-look side for the upcoming season.

The 2016-17 season will be Trabzonspor’s 50th year anniversary and the clubs President is targeting the Turkish Super Lig title.

Trabzonspor are set to appoint the former Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal and Turkish-Football.com sources understand the experinced manager is keen to sign Liverpool’s out of favour striker Yesil.

Yesil is expected to leave Liverpool at the end of June when his contract is set to expire. The 22-year-old joined the Red’s form Bayer Leverkusen for £1 million and has gone onto make just two appearances for Liverpool.

Despite being born in Germany his family originate from Trabzon in north-eastern Turkey. Yesil is known to be a Trabzonspor fan and spent his summer break in the Black sea region of Turkey.

Yesil has made two assists and has found the back of the four times in 17 appearances for Luzern this season.
