Germany will face Cameroon, Chile and Australia in Group B while hosts Russia are in Group A with New Zealand, Portugal and Mexico.

The Germany international of Turkish origin will be given time off following the tournament.

The 23-year-old midfielder could have up to three weeks off and miss the Reds tour of the Far East.

Can will have just 12 months remaining on his contract this summer but has yet to sign a new deal.

The powerful midfielder is expected to hold talks with the Reds over his future at the end of the season.

Can has been in excellent form for the Reds following injury to captain Jordan Henderson.

The Liverpool star has started in their last 12 games, playing an important role in his sides pursuit of a top-four finish.

The Reds are currently fourth and will book a Champions League place next season if they beat Middlesbrough over the weekend.
