Liverpool target Kevin Grosskreutz set for Stuttgart move

Galatasaray’s Kevin Grosskreutz is set for a return to the Bundesliga after agreeing terms with Stuttgart according to LigTV.

The Germany international was closely linked with a move to Liverpool by the Turkish newspaper Takvim.

LigTV state that the Germany international has undergone a medical with Stuttgart.The Lion’s have paid Grosskreutz a little under €1 million in wages and paid Dortmund €1.5 million for the transfer last summer.

Galatasaray signed Grosskreutz from Dortmund last summer but were unable to register the 26-year-old after failing to send over the necessary paperwork to FIFA before the transfer deadline.

Grosskreutz has played just two friendly games since joining the Lion’s and

Celtic are also in the race for the World Cup winner according to the Scottsman.

Galatasaray host Sivasspor in the next round of Turkish Super Lig games after the wingter break on January 17.
