Liverpool target nears Besiktas exit after talks stall

Besiktas left-back Ismail Koybasi has taken a step closer to leaving the Istanbul giants after contract talks stalled.

The Turkish sports paper Fotomac have reported that Besiktas are unwilling to match Koybasi’s contract demands.

The Turkish international left-back has been in impressive for the Black Eagles establishing himself as a first-team regular for the Turkish Super League leaders.

Both Liverpool and Valencia have both been keeping tabs on Beşiktaş full-back Ismail Koybaşı a source close to the player told Turkish-football.com.

The Metro have also reported that the Red’s are interested in signing the Turkish international.

Galatasaray are also understood to be in the race to sign the former Gaziantepspor man.

Koybaşı is expected to travel with the Turkish national team to the European Championships in France over the summer and has 15 international caps.

The 26-year-old has three assists 33 appearances for Besiktas this season.
