Liverpool target ‘priority signing’ for Everton boss Ronald Koeman

Fenerbahce winger Luis Nani has been linked with several Premier League and La Liga sides over the past few weeks.

The Sabah newspaper reports that Ronaldo Koeman has made signing Nani a priority and that Everton are ready to activate his €8.5 million release clause.

Nani’s agent is reported to have told the Istanbul giants that he is keen on parting ways with Fenerbahce and that they are in talks with other clubs.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik claim that Liverpool are ready to activate Nani’s release clause while rivals Everton have also been closely linked.

There is however, confusion over how much long his release clause remains active. Reports from Turkey claim that clubs wanting to sign Nani have until the end of June to do so.

Nani would fetch €15-20 million if Fenerbahce had their way and the club have quoted an even higher fee to clubs interested from China and the Arab Gulf.

This could explain why Nani’s agents have been reporting interest from numerous clubs. The Portuguese international has also been a target for Inter, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Manchester United.
