Liverpool target who was linked with £20m Wolves move set to join Turkish giants on deal that could fetch £21.6m

Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca will join Besiktas on a two-year loan and the Black Eagles will have a £21.6m buyout clause option a source close to the Portuguese giants told Turkish-football.com.

Talisca is expected to arrive in Istanbul later today and undergo his medical before putting pen to paper on his new deal.

The 22-year-old would be replacing Jose Sosa who only recently joined AC Milan on a £7 million move.

Liverpool were closely linked with the Brazilian midfielder and ready to pay £20 million for his services according to the Daily Star.

The Sun meanwhile reported that Wolves were nearing a £20 million deal with the 22-year-old following their takeover by Chinese investors Fosun in what would have been a marquee signing.

Fosun do have shares in the management company of Jorge Mendes – Gestifute – are were using the super agent as an intermediary to broker the deal.

The tall Brazilian midfielder has 20 goals and four assists in 78 appearances for the Portuguese giants in all competitions.

The highly rated 22-year-old midfielder scored twice in the Champions League last season and made 21 appearances in the league last season.
