Liverpool team news: Jurgen Klopp to make major changes ahead of Leicester clash

Liverpool are back in action tonight in the League Cup and will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Burnley FC.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he will not go to Leicester with “a white flag.” However, the German tactician is expected to rest several key names ahead of this weekend’s Premier League encounter with Leicester City.

Liverpool team news:

Both Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne have both been ruled out of tonight’s game due to injury.

Klopp is expected to make several changes to the starting lineup. Goalkeeper Danny Ward is expected to start in-goal while Joe Gomez, Marko Grujic and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could all feature.

Germany international Emre Can is expected to be rested tonight after playing a role in every Liverpool game so far this season. Klopp has suggested that youngster Dominic Solanke and James Milner could also play against Leicester.
