Liverpool team news: Klopp not sweating over top four finish

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is not worried about missing out on a top-four finish.

The Reds received a massive boost this weekend after Man United, Man City and Arsenal all dropped points over the weekend.

Liverpool can move three points clear of fourth placed Man City if they register a victory tonight. Klopp’s side do not face any team from the top six during the Premier League run-in.

“It is easy mathematics to know what points the other teams can get, but they play against each other and all that stuff,” Klopp was quoted as saying by Liverpool’s official website.

“No team, of the teams we fight for top four, can win all the games,” Klopp told British media.

“They play in a few moments against each other. Why should we think about it too much? I do not feel fear — not one second so far.”

Watford FC host Liverpool tonight at Vicarage Road as they look to return to winning ways.

Watford suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of a 10-man Hull City last weekend.

Walter Mazzarri’s side have however been strong at home. Hull have registered three victories in their last three games at Vicarage Road.

Germany international Emre Can is available for selection today. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a regular spot on Klopp’s starting lineup in recent weeks.
