Liverpool team news: Klopp suffers double injury blow ahead of Hoffenheim clash

Liverpool take on the Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in the UEFA Champions League qualification round tonight.

The game takes place Rhein-Neckar-Arena and kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GMT). For those of you in the UK, the game can be watched on BT Sport.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp suffered a double injury blow during the lead up to the game. England international duo Daniel Sturridge and Nathaniel Clyne are expected to miss tonight’s clash.

Meanwhile Adam Lallana has been ruled out for several weeks with a muscle injury he picked up during a pre-season friendly.

Brazil international Philippe Coutinho has also been left out of the squad which traveled to Germany. The former Inter Milan star missed last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Watford FC due to a back injury.

Emre Can has been included in the squad despite having under 12-months remaining on his contract with the Reds. The combative midfielder played the full 90 minutes for Liverpool on Saturday.

The return legs will be played at Anfield on Wednesday August 23.
