Liverpool team news: Star defender major doubt for Everton class

Liverpool will be looking to continue their impressive run of form when they take on their biter rivals Everton this weekend in the Merseyside derby.

The Reds have recorded five wins and a draw in their last six games, including a 7-0 victory over Spartak Moscow.

Jurgen Klopp’s side can move into third place with a win against their rivals this weekend. Everton meanwhile have bounce back into form at the right time with back-to-back victories.

Liverpool will he hoping to pit Liverpool’s lethal attack against a shaky Everton defence. Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are expected to start together again in the Premier League following weeks of rotation.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will be unable to call upon Adam Lallana and Joel Matip for this weekend’s encounter due to injuries.

Meanwhile Dejan Lovren is expected to return to the fold after recovering from a back injury.

Germany international Emre Can is set to retain his place in Klopp’s side following a string of impressive displays.

The 23-year-old has also attracted the attention of Europe’s elite with his contract set to expire. Unless Liverpool can reach a new agreement with Can, he may be sold in January or leave the club for free next summer.
