Liverpool transfer news: Euro giants refuse to give up on Emre Can, plot move next season

Juventus have not given up their pursuit of Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can.

According to the Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, while Juve have accepted that Liverpool will not sell Can this summer, they plan to sign him for free in 12 months time.

The 23-year-old has under 12-months remaining on his contract with the Merseyside based club.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has recently admitted his frustrations regarding Can’s contract situation but confirmed that talks are ongoing.

Corriere dello Sport goes onto state that Juve have signed Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint Germain instead of Can this summer.

The Germany international is a key part of Klopp’s plans and played the full 90 minutes during both of Liverpool’s games this season.
