Caner Erkin has been linked with an interesting Liverpool transfer report. The 27-year-old was signed with Inter Milan on a free transfer back in June. However, following the resignation of Roberto Mancini his future at the club appears to be in doubt.

Tuttomercatoweb, are reporting that Frank de Boer does not have plans for Caner and that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp may consider signing the Turkish international to help him deal with the current defensive crisis.

Per the source, Southampton and Stoke City are also interested in the experienced full-back.

Liverpool were closely linked with a move for Erkin prior to his move to Inter according to the Express.

The Premier League giants have also been linked with Erkin in the past but a deal never materialised.

The Reds are on alert regarding his current situation and while an offer has not been made a source close to the player revealed to Turkish-football.com that there has been interest from the club as well as other Premier League sides.

The Turkey international’s agent Batur Altiparmak confirmed that his client faces a tough decision and that another move could be on the cards.

“Caner can remain at Inter and he can go away. It is not yet decided, but it will be Caner deciding it,” Altiparmak told Turkish-football.com.

“Currently there are three possible options: he can stay at Inter and fight for a place, otherwise he can continue to play in Italy or in another European country.”
