Liverpool youngster Samed Yeşil stated that his side deserved the 3-1 win over Tottenham U21’s at White Hart Lane.
Yeşil started against Spurs and scored a brace. The goals were his first since returning from a lengthy injury.
The 20-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in a year in January 2014 and has only recently recovered.
Yeşil shared a picture from the game alongside the caption: “It was a Great victory today at having Scored 2 goals. Well deserved 3 Points. #ynwa #lfc #elhamdulillah.”

The 20-year-old has however, only made two senior appearances for the Reds due to lengthy injuries.
