Liverpool take on Southampton in the Premier League today in pursuit of their first victory under the command of recently appointed manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds have drawn both games with Klopp in charge since he replaced Brendan Rodgers who was sacked following the 1-1 draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby before the international break.

Can was a key member of the Liverpool team under the reign of Rodgers and has started both games under the stewardship of Klopp.

The Germany international of Turkish origin will start for the Reds today against Southampton.

The 21-year-old also went down in history as the first player to score for Klopp’s side when he put the ball in the back of the net against Rubin Kazan in the Europa League.
