Liverpool want €16m for star midfielder Emre Can who ‘won’t be renewing his contract’

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can faces an uncertain future as he has just 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign an extension.

As Reds fans continue to wonder whether Can will stay reports in Italy claim he could be on the move.

The latest report stems from Il Tempo reporting that Lazio have joined the race.

The bizarre part of the story are claims that the Reds want just €16 million for the 23-year-old.

La Gazzetta dello Sport meanwhile report that Juve are prepared to offer €30 million for Can – which sounds a lot more realistic.

Per the source, Juve are prepared to Can’s contract situation to force a deal.

Can has yet to sign a new contract deal but he has not shown any indication that he is unhappy at Anfield.

The 23-year-old was part of the Germany side that won the Confederations Cup this summer.

The midfielder of Turkish origin is currently on an extended break in the US but is expected to rejoin the Liverpool squad for pre-season training.
