Liverpool winger Markovic ready to return after recovering from injury

Fenerbahçe on-loan winger Lazar Markovic is ready to return to first team football after recovering from an injury that ruled him out for a fortnight.

The on-loan Liverpool youngster picked up an injury during the Istanbul derby against rivals Beşiktaş. The Black Eagles went onto win the game 3-2 and are currently first in the Turkish Super League.

The Serbian international actually made the highest number of dribbles in the game (6) despite having his game cut short after just 37 minutes due to injury.

Fenerbahçe expect Markovic to be ready for the first round of games after the international break against Kayserispor.

The 21-year-old was in impressive form for the Yellow Canaries providing one assist in three appearances and having earned himself a starting position in the team.

Markovic joined Liverpool on a £17.5 million transfer from Benfica last summer but struggled to settle in at the Reds.
