Liverpool youngster scores first goal during loan spell at Luzern

Liverpool youngster Samed Yeşil has scored his first goal since joining Luzern on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old was included in Luzern’s starting line-up which took on Zurich in the Swiss Super League on Sunday.

Yeşil scored his sides only goal in the 51st minute and was taken off in the 65th in place of Jantscher.

Marcus Bable’s side sit in forth place in the league with 18 points in nine games. Luzern take on Lugano next weekend.

Yeşil joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million.

The Liverpool Echo states that the Merseyside club have decided to send the 21-year-old out to aid his development.

The young striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season.
