Liverpool's Emre Can among the most valuable U-21 players in the world

Liverpool team news Emre Can

Liverpool’s Emre Can has been included in the ‘Top 20 most valuable U-21 players in the world’ list by Soccerex.

The study by Soccerex takes into account the players position, market value media perception, age, and contract length.

Can was one of Liverpool’s few bright sparks last season despite being played out of position in midfield. The Germany u21 international was signed as a midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen but spent the majority of the season as part of a back three and at right-back.

The 21-year-old is expected to move into his favoured midfield position following the exit of Steven Gerrard to the MLS side LA Galaxy.

Can made a total of 27 appearances for the Premier League outfit last season and also featured in the FA Cup and Europa League.
