Arda Turan faced quite a lot of stick along with the rest of his teammates following Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid in the El Clasico over the weekend.
Barca boss Luis Enrique did however, come out in support of the Turkish international star in fact he revealed being ‘delighted’ with Turan so far this season.
Enrique told the official Barcelona website: “I am delighted with Arda Turan. He has a lot of ability to adapt and gives us many things. I’m happy with his performance.”
Despite losing Barca remain first in La Liga seven points ahead of third placed Real Madrid and have already booked a place in the Spanish Cup final.
Additionally Barcelona are also in the Champions League quarter-finals where they will take on Turan’s former side Atletico Madrid this week.
Turan missed the first six-months of the campaign due to the FIFA transfer ban but he has scored twice and provided four assists since making his debut in January.
The 29-year-old made a brief appearance in the El Clasico coming on for Croatia international Ivan Rakitic.
