Luis Nani delighted with second assist since leaving Man Utd

Fenerbahçe winger Luis Nani revealed that he was delighted with the 1-0 victory over Kasımpaşa in the mini-Istanbul derby over the weekend.

Nani shared a picture from the game wearing t-shirts honouring the victims of PKK terrorism alongside the caption: “Jornada ultrapassada com uma vitória importante! Vamos equipa! Matchday overcomed with an important win! Let’s go team! #fenerbahce #matchday #win.”

The win took Fenerbahçe into first place in the league table with 10 points and helped maintain their unbeaten record. However, Trabzonspor could join the Yellow Canaries at the top of the table with a victory over Kayserispor today at the Kadir Has stadium.

The only goal of the game came via a Nani corner which Brazilian international Josef de Souza bundled into the back of the net from the six-yard box.

Nani now has two assists since leaving United over the summer for a £4.2 million transfer fee on a lucrative three-year deal.

The Portuguese international also has two goal to his name in all competitions including his dramatic last minute winner against Antalyaspor last week.

Former United star Robin van Persie also started alongside Nani in the Kasımpaşa game.
