Lukas Podolski wants out at Galatasaray a year after joining from Arsenal

Lukas Podolski

Lukas Podolski is looking for a move away from Galatasaray in the summer according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

The daily sports newspaper claims that the Germany international is sounding out a move to Qatar at the end of the season.

Podolski joined Galatasaray last year but is understood to be unhappy with the clubs current situation.

Galatasaray have been banned from European competitions after failing to meet financial fair play targets. The Germany international has now scored ten times in 26 league games and has a total of 12 goals and five assists in all competitions for the Lions.

Podolski has already eclipsed his total goals for Arsenal and Inter where he spent last season.

Despite Galatasaray’s recent struggles, Podolski has kept his place in the German national side and was called up to the most recent friendlies against England and Italy. The experienced forward is expected to make the Germany squad which travels to France in the summer.
