Galatasaray board member Abdurrahim Albayrak revealed that Malaga have not paid Nordin Amrabat’s loan fees but underlined that the Moroccan international would not be returning in January.

“We gave Amrabat to Malaga on loan but they have not paid us,” Albayrak said.

“But he will not be returning in January, we have too many foreign players, Eboue can’t even get a game.

“Even if we wanted to we couldn’t play Amrabat right now.

“Amrabat would be sitting on the bench, it would not be right, we will sit down and talk in January.

“Our priority is to have our players playing regular football.

“Our goal is that the players keep developing and contributing to the team.”

Amrabat has been in impressive form at Malaga and has three assists and three goals in his last five league games.

The Morroccan international was recently named in Marca’s October La Liga Team of the Month.

The 27-year-old winger is currently out with a muscle tear injury he picked up while on international duty.
