Man City ace Gundogan calls under-fire Arsenal star ‘incredibly humble’ in his birthday message
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan sent out his Germany national teammate Mesut Ozil a birthday message yesterday.
Gundogan was celebrating Ozil’s 29th birthday.
Ozil has come under-fire recently after a poor start to the season but Gundogan was full of praise.
Gundogan called the ‘world champion’ an ‘incredibly humble and kind friend in the caption of his Instagram photograph alongside the Arsenal ace.
Ozil and Gundogan are both Germany born ethnic Turks.
Turks form the largest non-German ethnic group in Germany with a population in excess of four million.
The Premier League has three players of Turkish origin, Ozil, Gundogan and Emre Can.
