Man City news: Germany international insists Premier League title race is not over despite Man United win

Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has insisted that the Premier League title race is not over.

The Citizens took a massive step towards lifting the league title after defeating their biter rivals Manchester United by a 2-1 scoreline on Sunday.

City moved 11 points ahead of second placed United and sit at the top of the table with 46 points after 16 games. Pep Guardiola’s side are yet to suffer a defeat and have only been held to a draw once.

However, Gundogan believes the title race is far from over despite City’s lead.

“It doesn’t feel like that, to be honest,” Gundogan told reporters when asked whether the race was over.

“It feels like we gained three very important points – not more, not less.”

Gundogan came on in the second half during against Manchester United and helped his side assert a midfield dominance over their opponents.

Man City will be looking to continue their winning run when they take on Swansea City on Wednesday evening.
