Man City v Monaco: Confirmed Line-ups – Aguero starts, star midfielder injured

Manchester City take on Monaco at the Etihad in their first-leg Champions League Last 16 clash on Tuesday 21 February.

City boss Pep Guardiola is missing star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and rising star Gabriel Jesus due to injury.

Argentinian forward Sergio Aguero has been given the nod upfront but he did fall behind Jesus in the pecking order after the Brazilian joined from Palmeiras in January.

Aguero has however, replaced Jesus who suffered a fractured metetarsal injury.

The experienced forward has struggled for form recently and has yet to find the back of the net in his last six games.

Gundogan is out with an ACL injury he picked up back in December and despite returning to light training he is not expected to return anytime soon.

Guardiola has made seven changes to the side he fielded out at Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup on Saturday.

John Stones, Fernandinho, Nicolas Otamendi and Aguero are the only players who remain in the starting line-up.
