On-loan Manchester City defender Jason Denayer has revealed that he would be open to staying at Galatasaray but that it is out of his control.

Denayer told Fanatik: “I am very happy at Galatasaray but whether I stay here is to of my control and I do not want to create a problem for the clubs involved. We will all talk at the end of the season.”

The 20-year-old joined Galatasaray on a temporary move over the summer transfer window and has already established himself as a first team regular as well as a fan favourite.

Denayer has had to play out of position for most of the season. The Belgium international joined the Lions as a central defender but has played predominantly as a right-back.

The young defender has had no trouble settling into life in Turkey in fact he has already developed a taste for one of the most popular drinks in the country; tea or çay (chai) as the locals call it.

The young defender shared an Instagram post having a traditional ‘cuppa’ alongside the caption: “çay… #do#you#think#there#is#better?#i#dont#think#so.”

Denayer is expected to start for Galatasaray against Benfica in the Champions League in Portugal today.
