Man City’s Belgium international star determined to leave and join Turkish giants

Manchester City defender Jason Denayer is keen on a move to the Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray.

The Belgium international’s days at Man City appear to be numbered after failing to break into Pep Guardiola’s first team squad.

Denayer spent a disappointing 12 months with Sunderland on loan where he was unable to help them avoid relegation.

The Turkish newspaper Milliyet states that Denayer is now only interested in re-joining Galatasaray this summer.

Denayer spent a season on loan at Galatasaray (2015-16) where he won the Turkish Cup. The 22-year-old established himself as a fan favourite during his stay in Istanbul.

The Milliyet goes onto state that Denayer was reluctant to move to Sunderland last summer.

Denayer made 24 Premier League appearances for Sunderland last season. The 22-year-old has also made 8 appearances for the Belgium national team.

Galatasaray take on the Swedish side Östersunds tonight in the Europa League qualification stage. The Lions need to overturn a 2-0 defeat from the first leg if they are to advance into the next round.
