Cengiz underlined that he will try to bring Ibrahimovic to Galatasaray should he win the election in January.

“I keep my word,” Cengiz said.

“Galatasaray need three to four transfers, I still say I want Ibrahimovic.

The powerful forward made his first start in the Carabao Cup against Bristol City.

United ended up crashing out of the tournament after losing 2-1.

The 36-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season but has yet to be offered a new deal.

The experienced striker was in great form last season scoring 28 times and providing 10 assists in all competitions for the Red Devils.
