Man United & Arsenal target faces major health concern after suffering ‘problems’ during hostile Besiktas clash

Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have mayor concerns regarding the health of their star striker Timo Werner.

The 21-year-old was forced off after just 32 minutes during Leipzig’s defeat to Besiktas due to ‘breathing and circulation problems.’

Werner, who has linked with both Man United and Arsenal, asked his manager to take him off amid a hostile atmosphere in Turkey. Werner recently named Man United and Arsenal as teams he is looking to join.

Meanwhile, both Real Madrid and Barcelona are also understood to be in the race for the young striker.

The Germany international didn’t feature during Leipzig’s win over FC Koln on Sunday after the symptoms reappeared. Werner was also dropped from Joachim Low’s Germany national team for their upcoming qualifiers with Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.

RB Lipzig director Ralf Rangnick admitted that they are worried about their star striker.

“We are worried about him. That’s obvious. It was an unusual situation in Istanbul,” Rangnick told Kicker

“And after having the same symptoms again on Friday, he has to assume that it is a matter of being accepted and being looked after.

“It’s about finding out the connections. It makes little sense to speculate. We have to get to the bottom of the matter together and then find the right measures.

‘It makes no sense for me to send him to the national team, as long as the diagnosis is not yet finished.”
