Manchester United
United welcomed back Wayne Rooney after the team captain recovered from an ankle injury which ruled him out of action since the start of April.
Mourinho revealed in his press conference that the captain will be considered for selection.
The Portuguese manager said: “He’s working now, he’s improving and if in this training session [this afternoon] the answer is positive, I would select him to be on the bench tomorrow.
“I cannot confirm now but the paparazzi that live in the Lowry Hotel, they can take the picture when we go to the hotel at six o’clock and see if Wayne is selected.
“I would like him to be selected, yes, I would like to have him as an option.”
United will however, definitely be without Juan Mata, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones who are out injured.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan did not start against Chelsea on the weekend but both players are fit and available for selection tonight.
Eric Bailly, Ander Herrera, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will have to be careful not to pick up another yellow card or they will face suspension in the first leg of the next round.
Anderlecht
The Belgium giants have a full team available but Andy Najar is a doubt.
Besiktas
The Black Eagles will be without Vincent Aboubakar and Marcelo who are both out suspended. Adriano and Ricardo Quaresma are doubts going into the game.
Marcelo could end up being a huge miss considering the Eagles defensive problems.
Both players have been selected for the match day squad but head coach Senol Gunes will make a game time decision over whether the duo will start.
The availability of Quaresma and Adriano would be a huge boost if made available as they have been in great form this season.
Tolgay Arslan, Caner Erkin, Oğuzhan Özyakup will have to be careful not to pick up another yellow card or they will face suspension in the first leg of the next round.
Lyon
Lyon also have defensive problems with centre-back Emanuel Mammana out injured and full-back Rafael suspended, while forward former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay is cup-tied.
Celta Vigo
Rossi is the only player out for Celta Vigo, the Italian has a knee injury.
Genk
The Belgium side will be without Karelis. Genk could also be without Bizot M (Ankle Injury), Coucke G (Injury), Susic T (Knee Injury), Uronen J (Ankle Injury), Wouters D
Schalke
The Bundesliga side will be without, Baba A (Knee Injury), Naldo (Groin Injury) and Neumann through injury.
Ajax
Ajax have no confirmed injuries and no suspended players.
