Man United news: Euro giants plot summer move for Spanish ace who is out until end of season

Besiktas are plotting a summer move for Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik report that Mata is on the Black Eagles radar and that the club will make an enquiry regarding his availability.

The Istanbul giants are planning ahead for the possibility of losing attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca.

The 23-year-old joined Besiktas on a two-year loan deal from Benfica last summer but has a £21 million release clause.

Talisca has attracted widespread interest from Premier League sides including United according to Turkish-Football.

Mata has been ruled out with a groin injury until the end of the season.

The Sun reported that Mata has undergone groin surgery and head coach Jose Mourinho stated that he will be out until the end of May.

Mata will have 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season and has yet to be offered an extension.

The 28-year-old had been in impressive form this season until his injury.

Mata had 10 goals and six assists in 38 appearances for United in all competitions.
