Man United plan to recreate class of 92 with Gundogan and 4 other wonder-kids
Manchester United’s class of 92 is the stuff of footballing legend.
David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes all started their careers at the club in 1992, going onto become club legends winning countless trophies between them.
United have had an academy graduate appear in every match day squad since 1937 but they have not enjoyed a lot of success at youth level recently.
Chelsea have won four out of the last five FA Cup Youth finals.
United have responded to the Blues recent by focusing more time and effort on youth development.
The Sun report that the Red Devils have four wonder-kids on their hands that could go onto be the next class of 92.
The Sun name 17-year-old Matthew Knox, 16-year-old forward Alex Timossi, 16-year-old Martin Murcko and the youngest of the lot 14-year-old Levent Gundogan who is of Turkish origin.
United signed 14-year-old Turkish wonder-kid Gundogan after a successful six-week trial, netting four times for North Wales developmental squad at Carrington.

Gundogan is of Turkish descent and eligible to represent Turkey at youth as well as senior international level.
The young attacking midfielder shares the same surname as Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
Gundogan is written Gündoğan using Turkish letters and translates to the dawn of the day and is traditionally a name given to a baby born at sunrise.
The ün in Gün is pronounced like the French for number one ‘un’. The soft g ‘ğ’ is not pronounced in doğan and extends the sound of the preceding vowel giving us dowuan.
